How to Start a Garry’s Mod Server
A detailed guide to setting up a server on mikasa.host
Running your own Garry’s Mod server is a great way to create a unique gameplay space, invite friends, or even build a small community. Thanks to mikasa.host, launching a server takes just a few clicks.
🚀 Step 1: Buying a server
Go to mikasa.host and choose the Garry’s Mod category. Browse the available plans and pick one that fits your needs. We recommend starting with 1 CPU core and 2 GB RAM — it’s enough for basic gameplay without heavy mods.
💡 Not sure what to choose? Just contact support or join the Mikasa Discord server — they’ll help you pick the right setup.
🛠️ Step 2: Accessing the control panel
After you’ve purchased the server:
- Go to the control panel at pyro.mikasa.host.
- Log in using the email and password you used to register.
- Find your Garry’s Mod server in the list — it should appear by name.
🧭 Step 3: Changing the server name
To change the name that shows up in the server browser:
- Go to the Startup Settings section in the control panel.
- Find the Server Name input field.
- Enter the name you want your server to display publicly.
